June 27th - 28th 2011, Anthony Greentree, Martin-King Sheard followed by Jim Greentree (Back up van) will attempt to cycle 165 miles from St Bees (Cumbria) to Robin Hoods Bay (North Yorkshire) to be completed in 2 days all in aid of the Bowel and Cancer Charity.
Introduction
My father was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in late 2009, he then went through a gruelling year of vigorous Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, then an operation to remove what was left of the tumour. Because of the operation he then temporarily had to wear a stoma.
Since then he is now making a full recovery thanks to the excellent treatments and medical help he was receiving. At some point in our lives we may have a relative or friend that has been effected with cancer in some form or other.
I have decided to do a Coast to Coast Cycle ride for charity and raise money towards Bowel & Cancer research which has helped my father and hopefully other people to come.
Myself (Anthony Greentree) and Martin King-Sheard will be cycling 165 miles over 2 days during June 27th - 28th, 2011. My father Jim Greentree (who has made a full recovery) will be on hand as back up to make sure we reach each check point.
We will take photos / video along the way as proof of my quest and hopefully raise some money towards this horrible disease!!
The fundraising target for the challenge is set at £1000, if you would like to donate something towards the 2 day challenge then you can do so by clicking on this link to the Justgiving site: http://www.justgiving.com/c2c-challange/
